I had a thought today, a pretty good one!
There’s a lot of good blogs out there and even some great communities for women bloggers. My favorite right now is www.thesitsgirls.com/ it’s a community of women supporting one another with their blogs and sometimes with their lives. There’s A LOT of love going on over there!!
Everyone is sweet and kind and says nice things to each other. (Thanks for that, Ladies!!) It’s a virtual love fest and I adore it, but how much do we show the same kindness in our everyday lives?
When is the last time you saw a Mom in the grocery store about to lose it and just kept walking?
Or what about the door greeter? Ever say more then “Ya, I’m fine?” Do you ask about their day and really mean it?
The Mom at school that makes you cring when you see her walking down the hall? Have you ever REALLY taken the time to hear her story?
What about your Mom, Sister, Cousin, or In-Law? Do you show daily support to those women?
I don’t think we take the time at all. I think as women we are quick to judge each other, by our appearance, attitude, blog post, ect. We are hard on ourselves and even harder on the other women around us! They don’t dress quite right or raise their kids quite right. They have a bad attitudes, bad grammar, or bad taste in clothing.
Every woman has a story! I'm strong and smart! So are the other women around me, even if they do things a little bit different! We can do anything we set our minds to!
Believe it in yourself and believe it in each other!
We should support each other everyday, in real life, in the real world!!
I want my daughter to grow up and be a strong, independent, COMPASSIONATE woman!
And I’m going to start that process right now, by showing my daughter AND my son what one looks like!!
A little Kindness Goes a Loooong Way,
