open, and people continue to post pictures of cleavage, brownie recipes, and opinions of the latest issue on my Facebook wall. So I weep, because for most people today is just another day. Even most Christians will do nothing to separate this day from any other.
So why do I bother, you ask? Why am I taking the time today to write a post that most people will never read, share, or take to heart? I don’t do it to judge your life. I don’t do it to push my opinions on you. I don’t do it because I think you are wrong and I am right. I do it because today I want to scream from the roof, “MY FRIEND, MY LORD, MY SAVIOR--HE DIED FOR YOU!!” I want you to get this—that Christ loves you (I’m not talking to some random person here—I am talking directly to the person now reading this). He died so that you may live.
I write this because I want you to know this love that saved me. I write this because I want your life to be filled with joy. I write this because I want you to experience a peace that is beyond your understanding. I write this because when I had no one else, He was there for me. This and more is promised and found through Christ, that’s why I write. That’s why I share—because this new life is fantastic and I want it for you.
We are not perfect. We are not deserving, yet He came anyway. Jesus loves you so much that He came anyway—for you! Who else do you have in your life that loves you that much? That sees your every flaw and knows
your every secret, yet would die for you? This is why I bother to share this with you today—because
you are loved!!
Everyone know John 3:16 but do you know the next verse?
“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him” (John 3:17).
The message of Christ is one of love and salvation. Jesus' greatest desire is that we turn to Him, that we accept this love. He died and rose again, so that YOU may live a life full of love, joy, peace, and hope!
Full of Hope.
